Next Generation Ford 3543T was shot by Skyrocket in Dubai

Can Gokceatam / Scarletmedia Digital Marketing

Ford Middleeast’s new generation Ford 3543T Truck was filmed on April 2018 in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai.

Ford team contacted Skyrocket on March to brief our team for this very unique product film production project, which had to be finalized before Ford Dealers Meeting scheduled for April on Bab el Shams.

Pre-production: Before creating the scenario, we had to think of the location, permissions, equipment and traffic more detailed than ever as it was going to be the biggest moving object we were ever to shoot.

“The main challange was organising the time frame properly in conjunction with all these variables” said Kivanc Kilicer, director of the project.

For shooting a big moving object, we needed some special equipments like extra-big cranes, dollies, panther and a very well balanced steady cam. What’s more, we had to use wired camera control as the distance between camera (in crane) and bluetooth controller was longer than normal conditions.

Once Pre-Production has been completed, a filming schedule was produced. The Call Sheet is provided to all team members the night before every shoot and contained all information as to what will be undertaken the following day.

Location: Nad Al Sheba was the perfect location to shoot Downtown area perfectly lit by early morning sun before the truck enters into the frame.

“We needed a road that was absolutely straight for as long as possible,” added İbrahim, location manager. “And with Downtown, Burj Khalifa view preferably in a closed off area so we could work and prepare undisturbed.”

Shooting: Excited to begin shooting this powerful machine, Skyrocket team marched to the first filming location at 5.00 am to setup the equipment. The crew was ready for action.

“The gorgeous Ford offers more than enough personality in stock form, and would be no difficult for anyone to become attached to” said Selim, project’s DoP.

A Blackmagic Ursa Mini pro 4.6 was used for all-in-one shot mounted on a Scorpio Arm Camera Car. We also used Canon 24-70 and Sigma 18-35 lenses for sharp and raw video shooting.

Post: Skyrocket Turkish team did the grading with Davinci Resolve and it worked like a charm. “But our UAE team paved the way by shooting with the correct exposure and light at all times, so it was hard not to succeed” says Ayse Yildirim, Post Production

Highlighting the specs of the truck in an animation was another major issue as we promised to keep the video short. We created an animated sci-fi background and positioned the masked footage on top, highlighting the features nice and clean on edges.

Client Testimonial:

Aysen Api

Aysen Api, Ford MiddleEast - “Working with deadlines in even very short notice period and delivering professional outputs are two key elements, I would say for Skyrocket Media. Once again thanks to Skyrocket for their flexibility, depth understanding of our demand and professionalism which was showed us during the project creation”

Despite the challenges including tight deadlines for getting the municipality filming permit, windy weather conditions and special traffic permissions for the truck, Skyrocket team proudly delivered this unique project on time and with success using both studios in UAE and in Turkey.

“During the 3 days of filming, we had so many overlapping plans and “what if” situations with the weather and traffic. Yet we were so organised that everything fell into place at the last moment. From the camera crew, to our amazing editor, producers, lighting and assistants everyone had to react and work as efficient as possible” said Kivanc Kilicer.

Which Social Media Attract More Attention for CEO

Burak Ursavas Digital Marketing

Social media gives brands the unique chance to tell great stories through visual content. Don’t settle for static images. Go dynamic by using the power of video production to get the maximum conversions and signups. Since Instagram videos are bite-sized, people are much more likely to watch them, up to 60 seconds. At Skyrocket, (www.skyrocketmedia.org) we produce pro-looking creative videos in UAE. Here are some examples:

Explainer videos

The best way to make your product stand out from the competition is to create animated explainer videos because animation is the best when you have to explain complexity in a short period of time. These animated videos are low cost when compared to live action videos. Skyrocket is one of best animation companies in Dubai.

How-to-videos

What's the better way to add value than to create a short video showcasing how to solve a common problem or just teaching people how to do something new? You can take this a step further by using your own products in the videos you create. Sometimes it’s easier to show how your products can be used with a video instead of just a user manual.

6-second videos

The six second ad format began making marketing waves on YouTube in 2016. The really exciting element of this new snackable video format is how flexible it will be, suiting a range of social platforms like Instagram, Snapchat and even the not so social Pinterest. These videos have to be incredibly creative and the creative process is both challenging and fun. Skyrocket, a leading Dubai film production company, is always at your service for video production in UAE

Product Trailers

Showing viewers a sneak peek of your product can be a nice visual companion to a spec sheet. When we create your video, we give viewers a feel for what the product looks like and any notable features it offers.

Behind-the-scenes videos

Rather than deliberately advertising on Instagram, use video content to take your people behind the scenes and tell them about your product and your brand. You can leverage the “Behind The Scenes” videos to give some kind of preview footage on upcoming issues. Skyrocket is one of best video production companies in Dubai.

WhatsApp Tests Its Version of Snapchat Stories

Cansu Bilkay Social Media

If Facebook can copy Snapchat and Instagram can copy Snapchat, why shouldn’t WhatsApp copy Snapchat?

Manish Singh of Mashable reported that the Facebook-owned messaging application is testing a feature called Status that mirrors Snapchat Stories.

According to Singh, the Status feature is included in the newest public beta versions of WhatsApp’s iOS and Android apps, and it allows users to share multiple updates in one day, including photos and videos, as well as to include photos and videos from their libraries and the ability to doodle over that content and add text.

Singh added that the feature only works on jailbroken iPhones or rooted Android phones, and Ritesh Bendre of BGR India added that Android users must download this app in order to use Status.

From Insight to Action: How Data-Driven Marketing Is Supporting Big Decisions

Cansu Bilkay Digital Marketing

Data analytics can work wonders. Highly datadriven organizations are three times more likely to report significant improvement in decisionmaking, according to PwC research. Yet, 62% of executives still rely more on experience and advice than data to make decisions.

Why? We all like to believe in our own instincts, but while that may be natural, it's not sensible. Today's true leaders in marketing and data analytics are ignoring hunches and using advanced technology and machine learning to increase speed to insight—and to action. And those organizations that have committed to turning data into action are transforming their businesses.

Progressive, the 79-year-old insurance company known for its fictional spokesperson "Flo," is one company where data doesn't just talk, it drives action. "Data is really the bread and butter for us," said Pawan Divakarla, data and business analytics leader at Progressive. "It's not a person or a thing; it's virtual bits and bytes. But we have a reverence for data and when you think of it that way, you treat it with respect."

Harness the right data

Critically, that reverence for data must begin at the very top. At Progressive and elsewhere, executive support is an essential component for selling the value of data analytics throughout an organization. In a recent McKinsey Global Survey3, participants ranked senior-management involvement as the factor contributing the most to their effectiveness with data and analytics.

But welcoming a deluge of data and getting support from the top still isn't enough. If it's not the right information, it won't support big decisions. Companies must harness the right data to uncover insights. Only then can business decisions made previously on instinct be guided by data. "Traditionally, we have relied on experts to gather these insights from data," said Sagnik Nandy, distinguished engineer at Google. "A data-driven organization wants this to happen automatically." And now it can.

To learn how top marketers like Progressive and Macy's overcame their biggest challenges with an insights-driven approach to decision-making, access the full white paper from MIT, "How Analytics and Machine Learning Help Organizations Reap Competitive Advantage." Putting the focus on data can be daunting at a time when consumers have real-time expectations for companies, and brands need to be there in the moments people need to know, go, do, or buy. "It's challenging to be in control of your data universe because there's so much happening," Sagnik said. "There's application data, customer-survey information, attribution, advertising. There are millions of pieces of data floating around."

Mobile takes the lead

Mobile is just another source of data that can be integrated to provide a more holistic view of the customer journey. More Google searches are taking place on smartphones than on desktops and laptops—globally.4 And across the millions of websites using Google Analytics, more than half of all web traffic is now coming from smartphones and tablets.5 But many companies struggle with exactly how to manage and integrate mobile data. "People are still thinking of mobile as something different," Sagnik said. "But we're at the point where mobile is the status quo."

Source: Google Analytics Data, U.S., Q1 2016.

At Progressive, data insights helped improve customers' experience with its mobile app. "When we launched our mobile application, it was just quote-only," Pawan said. But the team recognized its mobile users wanted to do more than simply get information. "We said, 'It looks like, from the data, people are attempting to buy, and so we should put buyrelated software up there,'" Pawan explained. "It was a really big 'aha' moment."

To lead successful data-driven initiatives like Progressive, analytics executives must overcome challenges in three areas: accumulation, analysis, and action. Put another way, analytics leaders need to be able to easily integrate more data sources, harness advanced technology for faster and more sophisticated analyses, and extract insights that lead to improved business performance.

By using analytics solutions, including Google Analytics 360 Suite, to integrate data sources and machine learning to analyze the data trail that people constantly create, organizations like Progressive can gather more (and more valuable) insights and improve the customer experience—often without human intervention.

"People have very fundamental needs when it comes to analyzing information, and machine learning can help them focus on what really matters," Sagnik said. "Rather than just reporting information and telling you what's wrong, machine learning technology can help you fix it." And if things are going well? "Machine learning can help you do more of what's working—and do it automatically."

Businesses like Progressive and Macy's that successfully value data over intuition tend to focus on three A's: accumulation, analysis, and action. For more on all three, access the full white paper from MIT, "How Analytics and Machine Learning Help Organizations Reap Competitive Advantage."
